High School Blues [Part I]
Written on: Saturday, March 6, 2010 Time: 4:17 AM
Tch. Yeah. New story at last. Well, I've written a lot actually but I never posted it here.
Title: High School Blues [Part 1]
Fandom: Death Note AU
Pairing: Shore/A, Matt/Near, slight A/Near mentioned.
Summary: Embarrassing. One word to describe what happened last night at Matt’s house.
AN: This story, was inspired by my mom's experience during her post high school graduation party at a friend's house. Of course with some edits here and there.
They all gathered at Matt’s house to have a post-graduation party. And it was supposed to start at seven, but it’s eight forty five already and the party still hasn’t start.
Ava was getting impatient. She was supposed to be home at ten. Hell, she’s not even supposed to go out, thanks to her older sister who just had to elope randomly. Now with the messed up schedule it’s very possible she’s going to be very, very late.
Sighing softly, she approached the host who busied himself with playing Wii.
“Yeah! Take that you oversized creep!”
“Matt, what’s taking it so long?”
The redhead barely looked up to see her.
“Well, Mels still hasn’t come back, and I think Nate’s running late.”
He paused the game to look at her. Though she could barely look at him in the eyes with the goggles on his face.
“Doesn’t it bother you that your boyfriend’s late?”
“We broke up two weeks ago.” She said icily. She still had a hard time getting through the post-breakup period.
Matt blinked. Once. Twice.
“Oh.”
Oh indeed, she repeated in her mind.
At that moment, a shouting match could be heard outside.
“No, we gotta have a dozens of beer.”
“For a party for ten.”
“So? More for us.”
“Miha-“
“Can I make a move on him then?” Matt asked suddenly. She turned to look at him, who now pushed his goggles on top of his head instead.
“Uh, I don’t know if he swings that way…” she trailed off, unsure what to say on the sudden question for approval.
Matt only grinned, hopped up and moved towards the front door to open it.
And as predicted, Mihael and Nate were fighting, bags of groceries in their hands, ready to be used as a weapon.
“Hey hey! What took you so long?” Matt asked, motioning to Sam to turn on the music.
“This kid bothers me. Period. It’s a good thing we’re going to different college later.” Mihael grumbled.
Matt laughed and turned to wink at Ava’s direction as he patted Mihael on the back – who went to the kitchen to get more chocolate – and smiled widely at Nate.
Nate was red in the face, angry. He shoved the bags to Matt as he stepped inside.
“He’s not the only one profiting from it.” Nate muttered.
“Nah, he’ll miss ya eventually. Hey Natey, I got something to ask…”
Ava was no longer able to hear the rest of the conversation, because at that moment loud techno music blared from the speakers. She did notice the way Matt leaned back and forward like an eager child and that mild interest in Nate’s grey eyes as they spoke to each other.
What she didn’t notice was Mihael and Sam, talking in hushed tones from across the room and throwing glances at her; as if they were up to something.Labels: fandom: death note, matt/near, mello, shore/a

The Puppeteer
Hey you! Yes you! You're reading the profile of the writer of this suckass stories you just read.
So the name's Tian. Not really my name but you can call me that. Still a young person with wild imaginations; perhaps you'll see more of it. If you live to see the chance.
