Happy Birthday
Dawn fell. The young thirteen year old woke up to the sound of her ringing clock. Groaning, she pushed the clock so it fell to the floor. Rolling in her bed, she couldn’t sleep anymore. Grunting and muttering swears she got up and headed towards the bathroom.
The cold water woke her up from her thoughts. Muttering swears under her breath she got out and got dressed. Her shoulder length auburn hair was tied back into her usual ponytail. Today she would have the best day. It was her birthday after all.
Her mother handed out her breakfast, without saying anything to her. They both ate in silence. All this time all she wanted to do was punch her mother in the face for forgetting her birthday. She cried a bit on the inside.
She left without saying goodbye. Her mother looked up at her in confusion, until her own mother came out. “What did I do wrong?” “You forgot her birthday dear.”
She walked out and closed the gate behind her. Her own mother forgets her birthday. But her grandmother didn’t. When she walked out her grandmother approached her, giving her a warm hug and congratulates her.
She walked through the park towards her school. Before that though, she passed by her friend’s “pet” and gave him some bread. He nuzzled against her leg before she left.
She walked into her homeroom. Her friends looked at her with their usual strange look. She didn’t mind. After the lesson ends, her teacher approached her and gave her a warm smile. “Happy birthday dear,” he said before patting her back.
After school she ran to the park. Her two best friends were waiting for her. She looked at them hopefully, but they didn’t get the message. She knew they forgot her birthday. Disappointed, she ran, ignoring their shouts begging her to come back. Her best friends were confused. Then two boys approached them; one with glasses and the other wore a visor. They had seen what happened. The visor boy widens his eyes in horror and then ran to catch up with her. The glasses wearing boy told them “You two forgot her birthday.”
The girl ran. She went to the cliffs where she would go to think. No one knows that she went there. Except for one who had followed her “Hey wait up!” he said. In his hand was a golden box. She stared at him as he ran towards her.
He smiled. She didn’t push him away like what she usually does. But she reached out her hand to take the gift that he gave. He looked at her curiously. She finally finished unwrapping it. He watched in excitement as she opened the box. “Happy birthday” he breathed out.
“A… deck of cards?” he nodded vigorously. “Look at the last card.” She grabbed the last card and looked at it closely. The card was Sakuyamon. At the bottom right corner was written “aishiteru, Rika”.
The girl, Rika looked at the young boy. A smile tugged her lips. “Thank you Kazu.” She whispered. She gave him a hug before returning to her home, leaving Kazu staring quietly at the beautiful redhead.Labels: fandom: digi tamers, rika/kazu

The Puppeteer
Hey you! Yes you! You're reading the profile of the writer of this suckass stories you just read.
So the name's Tian. Not really my name but you can call me that. Still a young person with wild imaginations; perhaps you'll see more of it. If you live to see the chance.
