Fighting With Strangers
Written on: Monday, November 9, 2009 Time: 9:07 AM
Fighting With Strangers I ran out to the streets, much to my mother’s dismay. Today she brought home another talent scout. I swear; she’s out to make money with me.
I hate it when people use me for their own benefit. Its like, “get a life!” Why don’t you try finding out who you are, and what are your potentials, and stop making me do things I don’t like! That’s pathetic; they have nothing else to do but sit back and enjoy the money, while I worked my ass off.
I walked around the streets. It was crowded, really crowded. I stumbled across one or two people. No big deal; I just walk faster.
Then I realized my feet had brought me to the park. But, it was filled with couples being all lovey-dovey with each other. It made me sick.
I found an empty bench and sat there. Trying to ignore the couple making out near me, I pulled out my book and started reading. I also pulled out my iPod and played some tunes. I hummed quietly to them as my feet started tapping.
“Mind if I sit here?” I looked up; it was a boy around my age with mousey brown hair. He was wearing a red jacket with a pair of khaki pants. His icy blue eyes stared at me curiously. I shook my head and started reading where I had left off.
I knew he was uncomfortable. So he kept looking at me with those blue eyes of his. I ignored him and continued reading. Then I realized he was leaning on me, listening to the songs I’m currently listening. I looked at him wide-eyed. “What’s wrong with you?” I growled. He scooted away from me; I regretted being so mean to him. “Nothing; I’m just curious. Uh, I’m Derek.” He offered his hand to me, expecting that I would shake it. But I stared at it coldly. “I’m Liam.” I said as I buried my head back to the book.
Derek shook his head. He let out a nervous laugh. He stretched his arm. “So what are you reading?” I looked at him; if someone ignores you does that means they want you to bug off? Yes. And the boy never learns I guess.
“A novel.” I said simply, not taking my eyes once more. “What novel?” I closed my book impatiently.
This kid is going to learn to bug off the hard way. I looked at him with burning eyes, I was almost sure I’d kill him.
“But if you don’t want to tell me then fine.” He said as he looked down. His feet shuffled nervously. He knew he did something wrong, so why won’t he just get off my case?! I stood up and was getting ready to leave. My feet already started walking.
“Hey wait!” he called out to me. I didn’t bother to turn back. Then someone ran past me. I turned around and saw a pretty redhead talking with that boy. From the way they kept stealing glances at me I knew that the girl was not amused with my doing.
“Hey you!” she yelled. I looked at her, my head held high. “Yeah?” “Yes you. You idiot; why did you have to act like some pompous brat anyway?” I was shocked. No one has ever dared to call me that. Not even my enemies. But this girl, this girl had the nerves to call me that. What a bitch.
“Me? A pompous brat? At least I’m not a stuck up bitch and a gay kid hiding behind her,” now this made them mad. Really mad. The girl’s face reddened at the comment and her crimson eyes flared with anger. Derek stood up, his hand on the girl’s shoulder and the other curled up into a fist; even his knuckles whiten. “Vee, don’t. He’s done nothing anyway.” He tried to knock some sense into her, even though his voice sounded tense. “Nothing? NOTHING?! Derek Morrison no one talks to you like that except for me!” she yelled.
He raised his eyebrow at the latter. “Calm down Ivy. It’s nothing. He didn’t harm me or anything.” He spoke softly. She sighed and cocked her head back, her red hair fell gracefully. She walked over to me and leaned in slightly. “If you ever tried to mess with us, I’m sure you’ll know the consequences.” She whispered in my ear. Then she turned on her heel and walked away. I looked at her closely. Her hair trailed off behind her, giving an impression that she wore a veil.
Derek looked at me with an ‘I’m sorry’ look. He grinned nervously and patted my back. “She’s always like that.” He said. Then he waved back at me as he followed his companion.
I stared in disbelief, and started walking my way back home. Images of the girl kept playing in my head, as well that Derek guy. “Are they dating?” I thought silently as I passed the busy streets of Bronx. Labels: derek/ivy, liam, original work

Hey you! Yes you! You're reading the profile of the writer of this suckass stories you just read.
So the name's Tian. Not really my name but you can call me that. Still a young person with wild imaginations; perhaps you'll see more of it. If you live to see the chance.
