Eyes

Eyes
She hummed lightly as her feet dragged her away. The sun shone brightly, greeting her with its blinding light. Her auburn hair seemed to reflect the shine from the sun, as so was her violet eyes shining with delight.
Towards her journey to the park, the ten year old bumped into a familiar face. In horror, she looked up. It was the Chinese-Japanese boy. He gave her a nervous smile as he saw how annoyed she looked.
Their eyes locked in a stare. Violet clashed against grey, anger against calmness. The girl finally softens her expression as she smiled and took the boy’s hand that was offered to her.
She held it without hesitation and stood up. Their eyes locked into another stare. But she was searching for something inside his eyes, honesty and sincerity; while his own eyes bore deep into her own, trying to read the emotions brewing up inside.
After he muttered something like not wanting to be late for their meeting she realized she was still in the park, and she was with him of all people. Smirking, she pulled his arm until he met the ground and ran towards the small hut, with him following her from behind.
